2. File the Statement of Change online. Log in through ePass Montana at the state's Business Filing Portal (biz.sosmt.gov), open your entity, and submit the change with the new agent's name and address. The filing goes to the Business Services Division under Mont. Code Ann. § 35-7-108. Price: $0.
3. Confirm the update. When processing completes, your new agent shows on the public record. Run an entity search to verify. Done.

One shortcut worth knowing: between January 1 and April 15, you can change your agent inside your annual report filing instead. Same result, still free.
